About us

Immerse Education supports schools to provide social and emotional learning for students. Through our three focus areas: people, place and purpose, we work with educators, parents and students to develop students’ self awareness, self management, social awareness and social management.

Alice Herbert, PhD

Principal Advisor

Alice is a doctorate level educator and researcher and is passionate about breaking down the barriers imposed by traditional one-size fits all education models. She has over ten years experience in education in primary and secondary schools in regional, rural, remote and international areas. From her experience in Nauru, she recognised the importance of adapting one-size fits all frameworks of engagement and wellbeing to suit the school community’s needs. Following her return to Australia, she completed her PhD. to further understand how context can be considered when enacting policies.

Alice has worked with over 30 schools to integrate social emotional learning into their context and understands the importance of working with everyone in the school community to achieve success.
